Sabine Fakhoury

Sabine Fakhoury is the Senior Athletics Coordinator at LAU since 2014. In 2013, she graduated from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium with an executive Masters in Sports Management. In addition, she also worked as a freelancer in Sports Events Management and has contributed to major events such as the 2016 Olympic Games and Beirut Marathon Races since 2010. As an athlete, she has played for the Lebanese Basketball National Team in the FIBA Asian Championship (Level A) in 2011. Sabine has won the Arab Clubs Championship (2014), the West Asia Clubs Championship (2015), the Lebanese Women’s Basketball 1st Division league for 3 consecutive seasons (2012-2013, 2013-2014 and 2014-2015), twice the Lebanese cup (2012-2013, 2014-2015) and the Beirut International Women’s Basketball Tournament in 2015, all with her Club Sporting (Al Riyadi).  She is currently pursuing the FEEC FIBA Europe Certification and, at this time, her main focus is developing herself as a basketball coach. Coached at youth level in her past years and currently coaches the JV Men’s Basketball Team at LAU.
